How do I use the store locator?
Type in your city or town and nearby stores will appear on the map. Not all of our products are sold by all retailers, so we recommend calling ahead to see if the retailer carries the specific product you’re looking for. We have plans to update the store locator to include specific products for each retailer soon. In the meantime, thank you for your patience!
Why doesn’t my local retailer sell your products?
We work closely with local retailers in as many places as possible to provide you our exceptional products. Retailers only have limited amounts of shelf space and may decide to prioritize other products. If you want to see our products at your local retailer, we recommend talking to them about potentially bringing PetKind products into their store. If you can’t find PetKind in a store near you, you can also purchase PetKind products online at homesalive.ca or chewy.com
Do you offer a frequent buyer or rewards program?
Instead of a frequent buyer or rewards program, we have a Treat of the Week loyalty program for our Tripe Dry products. Our customers are enrolled in the Treat of the Week program, with a deal being sent out every week in the form of a printable coupon. These deals range from dollars off to free cans or other products when combined with the purchase of Tripe Dry.
Green Tripe
What is green tripe?
Green tripe is the stomach lining of grass-fed animals.
Why is it green?
Green tripe is unbleached and all-natural. By avoiding the cleaning and bleaching process, we ensure that green tripe retains the nutrients that make it so great for your dog!
What are the benefits of green tripe?
Green tripe is naturally packed with proteins and healthy fat that strengthens, builds and supports every aspect of your dog’s health and well-being.
The cornerstone of every dog diet is protein and 70% of green tripe’s protein is composed of 7 major amino acids. Tripe is made up of essential building blocks that help support your dog’s joints, cartilage, muscles, growth, and so much more.
Green tripe is packed with essential unsaturated fats, like omegas 3, 6, 9, & 12. Unsaturated fats help to keep your dog healthy, reduce inflammation, and ensure healthy blood sugar and blood pressure levels.
Is your green tripe cooked?
Yes, all of our pet food is cooked.
Why do you cook your green tripe?
We strongly believe in the benefits of green tripe, even when cooked. We believe that the amino acids provide the biggest benefits in green tripe, and those are retained, even after being cooked. While we understand that the digestive enzymes in green tripe are lost, cooked green tripe still offers exceptional health benefits for dogs. Many people who feed raw also feed our green tripe products as a supplement.
Are there digestive enzymes in your green tripe?
As our products are fully cooked, the natural digestive enzymes in green tripe are lost in this process.
At what age is green tripe good for dogs?
All ages! Green tripe is beneficial for puppies, adults, and senior dogs!
Are your green tripe products complete and balanced?
Our Tripe Dry products have been designed to be complete and balanced for all life stages. Our Tripett and PetKind That’s It, green tripe cans, are not complete and balanced. While they are very close, we have not added the additional vitamin packs to ensure complete and balanced as the design for these products is to be as holistic and natural a green tripe supplement as possible.
Why does the consistency of the green tripe products vary from can to can?
Please be aware that our green tripe cans, especially Tripett (as it’s nearly 100% green tripe), do range in consistency more than a typical canned food. This is due to the massive amount of undiluted green tripe in these products. Tripe includes up to four stomach chambers, all with unique colour and texture and even odour. For example, a Tripett can may range from lighter beige to dark charcoal, and the textures may vary as well. Sometimes, there may also be excess moisture. If you have any questions regarding your can’s consistency, please email info@petkind.com and feel free to include photos!

Colour variation in wet food
Especially in our Tripett cans, where they consist nearly 100% of pure green tripe (exception to formulas which include other fresh meats), you may see the colour, consistency, and texture vary more then a typical canned food product. This is because Green Tripe, as the stomach lining of a ruminant animal, comes from up to four different stomach chambers, each with varying textures and colouration, and consistencies. Colour can appear light beige to dark charcoal greys and blacks. Again, being nearly 100% pure green tripe, excluding all fillers, these variations to not get blended out with highly consistent typical ingredients, as in many other canned food products.
Black substance / discolouration
At times there may be a black substance, somewhat liquid like as well, typically found near the top of the can on the outer edge, lid, and top of the product itself. Sometimes this is confused this as mold, but it is not, and is safe and harmless. It is simply a part of the tripe that has turned this way during the canning process. This is because green tripe is highly acidic in nature and can react to the metal of the tin. The BPA Free lining on the tin prevents this, but it can breakdown in production near the top of the can, or not completely cover the top area. Again, this is no problem, you can feed as normal.
White Fat
At times, excess fat can make its way into a specific batch, and while we do our best minimize this, it isn’t always possible. When this happens, it can separate within the can and congeal in pockets. Typically, this is minimal and not a problem. On occasion it is excessive. If this is the case, please send our customer care photos of the product, and we will compensate you!
Why does my Tripett look/smell weird?
Because Tripett is nearly 100% green tripe, it can range in consistency more than typical canned food. This is due to the massive amount of undiluted green tripe in the product. Tripe includes up to four stomach chambers, all with unique colour and texture and even odour. For example, a Tripett can may range from lighter beige to dark charcoal, and the textures may vary as well. There may also be excess moisture. If you have any questions regarding the consistency of your Tripett, please email info@petkind.com and feel free to include photos! We stand by the quality of our food, and if you are dissatisfied for any reason, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Only you can determine if Tripe Dry is suitable for your dog, but many dogs with sensitivities and allergies have great success with Tripett. With almost 100% green tripe in every can, Tripett has very few additives that could cause allergic reactions, and is full of benefits for your pup.
